Untouched Australian Beauty | View from Prospectors Hill |
Kangaroo Island is located just of the coast of South Australia. A short drive from Adelaide and a 40 minute ferry trip will have you on one of Australia's most travelled destinations. The island's flora and fauna has benefited from the water boundary and has remained pure from feral influences. The amount of road kill seen during your stay will clearly illustrate the abundance of Australian wildlife present. Paul's Place, on the western side of the isand, is a must if you want to get up close with Australian animals. KI is also home to some of the most stunning beaches, two of my favourites would be Stokes Bay and Vivonne Bay, although Vivonne Bay is very pretty the water is extremely cold. Stokes Bay is a secluded beach on the warmer north coast of the island seperated from the road by a cavernous walkway. Beware the rip though. |
