Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II Also known as Vittoriano, you can catch a fantastic view of the ruins from the top of the monument. It is quite cold here due to the strong wind. |
We heard many stories about pickpockets and thieves in Rome before we came, so were naturally a bit apprehensive when we reached here. Luckily, we didn't encounter any such incident. Perhaps, it was because we don't use the metro at all and had taken only 2 bus rides. Moreover, we were very cautious with our belongings. |
