Rome ruins from Vittoriano

Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II

Also known as Vittoriano, you can catch a fantastic view of the ruins from the top of the monument. It is quite cold here due to the strong wind.
We heard many stories about pickpockets and thieves in Rome before we came, so were naturally a bit apprehensive when we reached here. Luckily, we didn't encounter any such incident. Perhaps, it was because we don't use the metro at all and had taken only 2 bus rides. Moreover, we were very cautious with our belongings.
