Just 24 hours on this city on water but it is enough to declare her as my favourite European city. I spent the whole day in the area around Saint Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco) and I must admit I like getting lost in the meandering streets of Venice because I get to see even more of her! I had my first taste of the Italian gelato here too.
What will it be like to live here? I can only imagine.. The air will definitely be fresher without the pollution of vehicles.
This church will definitely catch your eyes if you are taking the vaporetto to Piazza San Marco. Marvellous view and a story behind why it was built.
