Comissioned by François I, Château Chambord was begun in 1516. The château is one of the Loire Valley's finest. It is situated in the forest near the small town of Blois. At one point, over 1800 men worked on Chambord. Charles V and the king of Poland have lived here. Leonardo Da Vinci once payed a short visit to Chambord to recommend some final touches for the château. |
