Pulau Dayang Bunting or Island of the Pregnant Maiden is situated southwest of Langkawi Island. . In the centre of the island lies a large and beautiful lake called Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden). The legend tells a story of a fairy princess who fell in love with a mortal and conceived a child but the child dies. The couple buries the child and the fairy princess blessed the lake so that any woman who has difficulty to conceive will be blessed with a child if she drinks the water from the lake.

You can see the outline of the body of a pregnant woman who is lying down on her back.

There is also a new attraction here that is the catfish massage. Its does feel very ticklish.

The most prominent landmark for visitors arriving by sea situated near the Kuah jetty, the main attraction of the square is the magnificent statue of the reddish brown eagle (actually a Brahmany Kite).

According to local folklore, Langkawi derived its name from the eagle or "helang". In old Malay, "kawi" denotes reddish brown - hence, Langkawi means reddish brown eagle.

Located about 14km northwest of Kuah in Langkawi. Air means water and hangat means hot in Malay. Hence Air Hangat literally means Hot Springs.

Ancient legend tell a story of two families who threw jugs, pots and pans at each other. One of the jugs, filled with boiling water, fell on the ground and immediately a hot spring gushed out of the spot where the village now stands.

Telaga Tujuh (Seven Wells) are seven natural pools or wells originated from a river flowing downstream in a series of cascading waterfalls.

Locals believe that this area is a favorite playground of fairies and genies, especially when you suddenly pick up an inexplicable perfume in the air.

If you are very healty do try the climb of 638 steps to reach the seven wells. I just walk to the first well.... hahaha The picture was take from the cable car ride.

We took the mangrove tour and they wanted RM200 per boat but we negotiated and got the boat for RM150.

Klim Nature Park spread over a large area of water and mangrove forests. This tour includes feeding the eagles, white-bellied fish eagle, and the gigantic sea eagles. Klim River is also a great place for bird watching during the migratory seasons in September and March.

We also went to the Crocodile cave and bat cave. Our tour was for 1 hour but there are also tours for 2 hours.

There are about 200 species of aquatic life at Underwater World Langkawi, which is also the largest aquarium in Malaysia today. Feeding times for the Tunnel Tank is at 3pm daily, while the one for the Otter pond is at 3.30pm daily.

There is a 60,000 sq. feet new building, housing three ecosystems, tropical rainforest, temperate and sub-Antarctic including a 200-seat 3D cinema. Other facilities available here include a gift shop, a merchandise centre, and a dry seafood centre, Neptune Cafe, Zone Shopping Paradise, and Restaurant Kg. Siam.

The Underwater World is open daily from 10am to 6pm. Admission is RM38 for adults and RM28 for children. For locals Malaysia it’s RM27 for adult.

The newest attractions here are the Harbour Seals, Rockhopper Penguin and African penguin. You will need about 2 hours to take a leisurely wander around here.

Pantai Pasir Hitam or Black Sand Beach is steaked with black sands, believed to be caused by the mineral oxide deposits that originate from a nearby spring.

The beach is not good for swimming cause there are boulders around. There is a food and souvenir stalls that sell local crafts and some langkawi t'shirts.
