KL (Menara) Tower Restaurant: Seri Angkasa Revolving Restaurant
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Seri Angkasa Revolving Restaurant at Menara KL

The restaurant serve a buffet of local and international spread from Restoran Seri Melayu.

Due to safety reason the food are not cooked at the tower but at the Restoran Seri Melayu and kept on warmers at the revolving restaurants.

The restaurant is open daily from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm for lunch and 6.30 pm to 11.00 pm for dinner.

A la carte menus are available for lunch and dinner, as well as buffets.

Just a reminder no short allowed. But not to worry if you wear short they will give you a sarong to wear when you are dining here.

Favorite Dish: I enjoy the beef rendang, satay and seafood spread.

There is a huge spread of salad and some vegetarian dishes too. Do try the local dishes, desserts and fresh fruits.

I did manage to make my Swizerland friend try the durian dessert. His comment was it smell bad but the taste is Ok. I doubt he want to try it again.

Pelita Nasi Kandar: Pelita Nasi Kandar
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Pelita Nasi Kandar

This is one of the famous Nasi Kandar restaurant of course there are many nasi kandar restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. Nasi Kardar is famous rice dish from Penang.

I order Briyani rice with chicken and papadam (thin lentil cracker). My Italian friend could not eat spicy and he end up just eating the chicken and just had one or two spoon of rice.

It is really spicy and I can understand that he can’t take the spicy food as he don’t even like pepper in his food.

The restaurant is quite simple with ceiling fans and its buffet style as you take what you want to eat and then pay for it before you eat.

Favorite Dish: I enjoy the rice with chrispy fried chicken and papadam.

    Toh Lee: Dim Sum anyone?
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Toh Lee

This restaurant is in Nikko hotel and they serve dim sum for lunch. It is one of my favorite restaurants for dim sum and they do not serve pork here. Since I know the restaurant manager we just ask him to recommend the best dishes and if we want more we can order it.

I took my friend here and he really like it as it has a smoking and non smoking area.

    It's open on: Lunch: Monday-Saturday from noon-2.30pm; Sunday 9am-2.30pm. Dinner: Monday-Saturday 6.30pm-10.30pm.

Favorite Dish: Pau, carrot cake, fried wonton and the many dim sums.
