"alligators, not all that scarey!" Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge by LauraWest

Alligators in Foster State Park

a week ago today, I was in a canoe on the Swanee River, for the first time in my life. The river, not the canoe. My friend and I must have seen, at least, 5 dozen alligators that day, all of us enjoying the sunshine. It was a beautiful day to be alive.

We saw a variety of birds and an otter, too. The otter swam around the roots near the river's edge. So fast, it was hard to get a good photo. If it didn't swim that way, I am sure it would have been an alligator's lunch.

Good shot! And good framing, with the reflextions and all. It sure was a great day to be there, that's for sure.
