Ettal

I was at the monastery in 1999 and visited again on May 4, 2005 while staying in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

I almost got thrown out of the monastery by a monk/priest setting up for the daily mass. My flash went off for a better exposure time to photograph the ceiling fresco. I didn't see any "No flash" signs but the priest/monk started walking in my direction at a decent pace.
As I left, the priest/monk watched me go from the doorway and the bells in the towers went off.
As soon as they started ringing people (mainly 12-18 year olds) started running to the monastery entrance.
After visiting the monastery shop and buying some monastery brewed bier from a shop across the street, I headed back to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
