I got to Ulm from Lucerne, Switzerland in 5 1/2 hours and stayed next to the train station in the Intercity Hotel 30 feet from the station entrance.
- Pros:Historical city, tallest church spire in the world, Einstein's Birthplace, discount bakery, good library, good transportation, easy to find way around, saturday morning market
- In a nutshell:An interesting city with quite a bit to do and easily connected to other major cities.

You've put together a nice page here. Useful tips and very very good photos. Was the Intercity hotel really such a bargain? I almost got to stay there and they quoted my an outrageously high price... Anyway: Seems you enjoyed your stay! Great!
