I went to Varenna from Bellagio on April 28th, 2005 on one of the boat shuttle/ferries that run on Lake Como.
The town was pretty and nice but I felt as though there wasn't much of anything at all to do other than walk around and see the views of the lake, which are nice by the way.
There is a castle you can climb to at the top of the hill above the town but I didn't have time to do that during my time there as I had to catch the ferry back to Bellagio to go to Villa Carlotta. |
