Getting TO/AROUND: Use the bus service to get around the Berchtesgaden area quickly and relativly cheap. A day long pass for the buses costs 8 Euros. Grab a bus schedual at the bus station/train station for free. Buses are very punctual and run constantly during the day. A bus to Salzburg takes 45 min. Compaired with the train that runs to Salzburg which takes 1 hour and costs 7.40 Euros one way.

Getting TO/AROUND: Berchtesgaden is connected to Salzburg and it takes 1 hour to get between the cities on the train. One way from Salzburg and Berchtesgaden is 7.40 Euros (as of March 2005). Getting a ticket is easy. You can buy a ticket from the ticket agent or use the automated system on the track platform. There are train scheduals available for free in the train station.
