"Trstenik-town where I was born" Trstenik by tijana2503

Trstenik is a little town about 200 km south-west from Belgrade(depends which way you choose to get there it can be 180 or 230 km)Town is situaded between bigger towns Krusevac and Kraljevo and it is on a half way.Near Trstenik is very popular spa Vrnjacka Banja(12 km) and 4 km you need to get to monastery Ljubostinja(nunnery convent).
One thing is strange.Highway Krusevac-Kraljevo separated town on two parts:Trstenik and Trstenik 2 ( we called that other part Pejovac,but I don`t know why and what is the meaning of that word ).These parts are 2 km far away and when you walk to town you must pass throught the factory.This is the second strange thing becouse the factory is in the middle of the town.
This factory-PRVA PETOLETKA- was very popular and good working with about 15000 employed peoples.In my slass I was the only one which parents doesn`t work there(my mother working in a bank and my father is a painter).This factory had disaster becouse of a political situation in country and government,and almost all the people who had been working there for years,stayed without a job.Factory still working, but less then 10-15 years ago.Some of components for planes and fire arms are made there.
As I know(and I can be wrong becouse I`m not sure) Trstenik have 30-40000 residents,but there are more, becouse it`s wellknown that municipality of TS is consist of large number of villages around.
In Trstenik we have 3 elementary schools and 3 secondary schools(grammar with two courses-one for the mathematic and other for languages;school for mechanical engineering with lots of courses ;and economic school) And ,ofcourse,High school for mechanical engineering.
River Zapadna (West) Morava flow down the town,and town is on the right side of the river.Near the center was the old bridge across the river and it`s gone during the NATO bombing(about 10 peoples killed that day on a bridge).
Trstenik also have one open swimming poll and a center for sports events,one cinema,one TV station and several radio stations.
My parents still living there,and I will take some new pictures when I get there ,to show you how it looks like today, couse these pictures are old.

On the left side of the picture ,you can see one building(a part of it).This was a hotel,the only one in town,but it is closed long time ago.In front of you are bank ,and my mother works here.
And I forgot to tell you,this ex hotel KULA (Tower) is the biggest building in Trstenik and you have a beautiful view from the top.
There is nothing interesting that you can see in this town.

Zapadna Morava

This river,Zapadna (West) Morava flowing trough the town.When I was a little girl,we were going there to swim on the little beach on the right side of the river.We were there with parents,and later,when we get older,with friends.One day,I don`t know when that happened,river become dirty and not safe for swimmers.We were left the river and moved to the swimming pool right behind the beach.I remember my first big love,when we were on this beach during the summer.I remember how we jumped from the trees in the river,and big plantations of apples around the river.I remeber wishing there with my father(he still wishing there,but with his friends now).And only I can do now is to REMEMBER.
