I returned to Bratislava in November 2006, courtesy of an ex-girlfriend who took me there as a birthday treat. This time round instead of a constant round of gigging and, how shall we put it, partying to excess, i actually got to see a number of the wonderful sights around the city.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too clever which is reflected in some of the photos, but Bratislava is still a beautiful city with a vibrant nightlife, an excellent selection of restaurants and some wonderfully friendly inhabitants. With the advent of cheap flights, certainly from the UK, it makes an absolutely wonderful destination for a weekend break. |
|  | I've only been a few times. I first visited Bratislava about four years ago to visit a musician friend of mine, and then returned in December, 2003 to play some organised gigs.
I was struck by the friendliness of the people, and just how beautiful the centre of Bratislava was.

I was only here for a couple of hours - really wish I had had more time to look around, I'd like to have seen the statue of the guy emerging from the manhole! |
