Paphos is a very busy tourist destination with it's own airport and the usual Med type amenities like "Ye Rose and Crowne" English pub serving full English breakfast and English beer. Nothing wrong with that, although it's not my scene.

Friends of ours who live there say the place has changed out of all recognition in recent years.

Like most of these type of places, however, scratch the surface a bit and you can still find interesting things to see and do. Travel even a little way out of the town and there are some places that are relatively untouristed (if that's a proper word).
