There are many unique events in Finland: Wife Carrying World Championships in Sonkajärvi (the length of the official track is 235.5 meters and the track has two dry obstacles and one water obstacle), World Championship of Mosquito Killing in Pelkosenniemi, Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships in Savonlinna, Santa Claus Reindeer City Race in Rovaniemi, Sauna Bathing World Championship in Heinola, Midnight Sun Film Festival in Sodankylä, Santa´s Midnight Sun Marathon and Carnival Walk to the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, International Wood Sculpting Week in Kemijärvi, Finnish Championship in Gold Panning, Snowball Fight Competition (Yukigassen), Swamp Soccer World Championships in Hyrynsalmi, Kicksled World Championships in Multia etc. The absolutely most exotic festivals happen in Finnish Lapland.
