Utica, NY

Utica is a small city with three colleges.

Utica is one of the "big" cities of New York state, along with NYC (called "the city" by everyone who doesn't live there), Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, and Binghamton. While it is larger than most it's size had decreased significantly compared to what it used to be during the 30's-50's at around 100,000 population wise. Currently the population is around 60,000 or so.

Utica is home to three large colleges and several smaller colleges. The three large colleges are SUNY Institute of Technology (SUNYIT), Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC), and Utica College (UC). While three colleges exist in the city it's not much of a college town.

If you are over 21 there are plenty of things to do, which I will list below, and while it doesn't have an abundance of family outings it doesn't run low either.

In A Nutshell:"The black whole of central New York, that has a few stars."
