Hello everyone, my hometown is in Central New York or in Upstate New York if you are talking from someone from New York City. Honestly Upstate is not that exciting, there isn't alot to do up here... But if you are looking for small time farmers, quaint little villages, and someplace to get away from the rest of the world, this is the place to be.

There are some surrounding colleges that do events every once and a while, but they are usually never on a large scale.

Although Syracuse is home to the New York State Fair held annually!! As well as the Syracuse University Basketball team. Those things usually bring a good amount of spectators and are probably what people think of most when they hear Central New York.

Something to note, Syracuse will be the future home of a mall tentatively named "Destiny USA", if you have not heard of the project, they are basically looking to make the largest mall in the US and I think they are even going to attempt it on a world scale. It is rumored that it will have at least 6 floors and one of those floors will be the site of an inside amusement park. As of right now, I believe the project is stalled, trying to pass through local legislature. but I believe it will eventually become a reality, and will most likely liven up the Central New York area... which is probably what some people fear.
