"Nice is nice" Nice by nona4

Nice.... is self-explanatory. I was only there for 2 days & 2 nights. And the only pic I took as you are now seeing, was taken from a mobile device. So... not very clear, but I can tell you it is a beautiful place. I could see at least 4 different shades of blue on the sea... even the sky was particularly more bluey than I've ever remembered.. really is picturesque. All I wanted to do is to dive into the sea (unfortunately not yet trained to do so- wouldn't have written this if I had ; ).

It is a very touristic place. I learned that lots of Parisians tend to spend their summer in this part of France. But there also plenty of foreigners i.e. Italians ( Nice is close to Liguria region of Italy).

All I can say is that I really felt like I was on holiday. Proper holiday ! Everyone on the beach was just relaxing.... having a really nice time. As any other touristic places, Nice is quite an expensive place. However, you could still find some reasonably-priced hotel & restaurants if you care to look around ; )

I had difficulty leaving Nice. My hotel room was on the 7th floor overviewing the blue sea. The last morning I stood on the balcony of my room, there were birds singing... palm leaves waving.... c'ete tres magnifique ! Would definitely love to return.

• Pros:The sea, the foods, the cheerful atmosphere, ...
• Cons:pebble beach (as opposed to sandy), comparatively expensive
• In a nutshell:Nice is nice !
