Keflavik

A small town in Iceland

Travelers at Keflavik Airport during an icestorm
Keflavik is home to several people (among them a few Icelanders), five cats (one of them black with green eyes), 3.2 dogs, a number of houses and stores, a US Naval Airbase, and the Iceland International Airport. Let's not forget the ghosts, as there are many of them in Iceland living all over the country. Why in Iceland? I don't know. Maybe they prefer cold weather or perhaps they have well-paid jobs as invisible workers in Iceland sweater factories. Someone from Iceland can probably give you all the information you need. By the way, The Blue Ghost Blues Band didn't originate in Iceland and they didn't turn blue from the cold. They are from Ireland and chose their name because they play the blues, although it's rather un-blue most of the time.

The photo shows planeloads of passengers walking around the runways of Keflavik Airport without running away.

Keflavik Airport

I visited Iceland briefly on my trip Frankfurt - Keflavik - Toronto - Frankfurt.

Very surprisingly and totally unexpected, I found out that Keflavik has half a Hebrew name, which means "fun to her, the Viking lady".

This picture was taken during my brief visit in Keflavik, at the Iceland International Ice Airport. It shows Iceland during an icestorm. We were grounded on our way to Canada as they had to defrost the airplane first, but it took longer than expected as they ran out of hairdryers.

I hope to visit Iceland again someday, for a slightly longer time, and preferrably not during an icestorm.

LOL!!! Your Hebrew is certainly improving. So the male would be Keflovik.
