When Foula, my dear friend from Athens, visited me in Germany, she noticed an immediate resemblance between Pavlos Papadopoulos and my computer. So my computer running Windows 3.1.1 became Pavlos Papadopoulos I. After his reliable services were outdated, he was donated to a high school in rural Turkey.
His (all computers are male - at least in several languages including German) successor with Windows 98 was Pavlos Papadopoulos II. We still have an ongoing, although somewhat disconnected love affair.
My current sweetheart is Pavlos Papadopoulos III. He's a real laptop and after a few start-up problems we've gradually been falling more and more in love with each other during every Internet connection. S'agapo, Pavlos!
