Belgium that is. I guess the end part of the city refers to it being located on the coast at the end of Belgium. Which it is. During our first anniversary trip to
Europe,
Chris and I (we used to live in
Los Angeles,
California at the time) also visited the
UK among many other European countries. To do so from Belgium while surface traveling, one needs to take a ferry. It usually leaves from Oostende, if it leaves at all. We took the train from
Antwerpen to Oostende in the early morning and therefore had the chance to see Oostende in all its morning glory. It's a beautiful city located at the seaside. We didn't have the time to stay there for very long as we had to catch the ferry over to
Dover. But it was well worth the experience and much more interesting than taking an airplane, which we couldn't have taken from Oostende to Dover because the flights took a different route.
