City Hall Mystery | Stairway to City Hall with Lost Heart |
The Tel Aviv City Hall is located in the heart of Tel Aviv and that's why the Stairway to City Hall was decorated with a heart. City Hall rocks and it has a rock 'n roll heart! Led Zeppelin wrote a cool rock song about it and its backwards version Llah Ytic ot Yawriats (that distantly resembles a classical Irish tune sung in Gaelic) became Tel Aviv's urban anthem. Also, there's a famous folk song called "I lost my heart at City Hall". Why were, and still are, so many well-known and anonymous people deeply inspired by the Tel Aviv City Hall? Who knows. The Tel Aviv City Hall is one big mystery, and if you want to find out more about this mystery, click here. And here some of the Tel Aviv Views by Googlism.com: - Tel Aviv is a modern city that presents a skyscraper along the HaYarkon Street - Tel Aviv is the first place where anyone goes - Tel Aviv is actually the center of Israel - Tel Aviv is either 90 years old or 112 - Tel Aviv is situated on a beach - Tel Aviv is very frequent and diverse - Tel Aviv is different - Tel Aviv is a strange city - Tel Aviv is all of these and more - Tel Aviv is the only city in the world For additional day and night events in Tel Aviv click here! |
| | Dizengoff Street Colorful Tel Avivids crossing Dizengoff Street this way and that way. Tel Aviv is a modern, constantly changing, colorful city that never sleeps. Because of its vivid lifestyle, a person from Tel Aviv is a Tel Avivid. The city has much to offer (much more than listed in Googlism.com), such as cafés, beaches, night clubs, Bauhaus architecture, museums, excellent restaurants, cultural events, tourists from everywhere, nice weather (except July and August when it's oppressingly hot), and a bunch of crazy people. (This is meant as a compliment, since I am crazy, too). Some of Tel Aviv's highlights are the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, the Tel Aviv Museum, and Steimatzky's Bookstore on Dizengoff Street. |
Downtown Tel Aviv Downtown Tel Aviv has something for everybody. The downtown area is not too big, so you can either walk, or go by bus (the bus system is good and inexpensive), or take a taxi, which is also fairly cheap in comparison to many Western European countries and the USA. If you're adventurous you might want to rent a car and drive yourself, chances are pretty good that you'll eventually get from this place to that place. I managed - and car, myself, and the rest of the population undamaged. Be sure to honk a lot while driving - it's fun, it's an easy and effective way to communicate with other drivers, and it's a national sport in Israel. Do it - don't be a tourist! P.S. Watch the traffic on the Ayalon Highway. Click here. Never a boring minute! | | |
