| Airplane View of San Juan |
| | San Juan On my way from Frankfurt to a fantastic Gabriel Garcia Marquez adventure in Colombia I landed in San Juan where I stayed for about one hour at the airport before continuing my trip to Bogotà. This is how Avianca wanted it. I had a window seat and the most beautiful view of the island and San Juan and decided that someday I'll have to spend a longer time in Puerto Rico. The day hasn't come yet, but when the time is right, it will. It wouldn't have wanted to miss this stop-over, that's for sure. |
After The Landing ...at San Juan Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. Planeloads of people are disembarking the Lufthansa jumbo jet, walking around aimlessly at the airport while waiting to continue their trip to Colombia. So did I. The airport is named after José Luis Alberto Munoz Marin, who was a Puerto Rican poet, journalist and politician. He was the son of Luis Munoz Rivera and Amalia Marin Castilla. Since my nephew's name is Danilo Marin Milin, they must be related. Obviously. However, my nephew is not Puerto Rican and that is weird. And he has never been to Luis Munoz Marin airport, although he has traveled all over the world. He would be the perfect VT member, but unfortunately he isn't because he doesn't have any time. | | | Lufthansa jet landed at San Juan Airport |
