This is my sport.
I like the weekly challenge of trying to hit the clays.
A good morning out with a friendly bunch of people.

Equipment: If you don't shoot, don't worry.
We will give you full instruction on how to safely use the gun, how to hit the clays etc.
You will need the proper clothes though.
Boots or wellies for sure, weather protection clothing, you are in the middle of a field with little or no protection.
Shooters are all weather sportsmen.

The good old English classic sport of cricket.
Village cricket is like no other cricket match, because they are local, the chances are you will know most of the people involved.

Equipment: Sun glasses, just in case the sun glares back off your pint glass.
Sun block, just in case you fall asleep.

What a perfect place for a day out if you are in the Halifax area.
Next door is the Newbank Garden Centre, so come on down, drop the wife off next door for a couple of hours of garden retail therapy and you can come and watch the racing.

Now don't think for one minute that this is a bunch of big boys playing with their toys.
This is serious stuff, have a walk round to the pit area and see how much work goes into getting these little speed demons onto the track.
Everyone down here is very friendly and will take time out to talk to you.
