York = The ultimate chill out zone

by ricky52 - last update: Jan 24, 2007

We came, we saw and we conquered.

The Minster
Cold, sometimes wet, but never miserable we had a blast here in York.

We took the two VT virgins northeast80 (Emma) and rcsparty (Rick) under our sheltered wings, gave them comfort and gently, ever so gently introduced them to the ways of a VT meeting. Need not have bothered though, as soon as we hit the pub Emma was straight into the pints of John Smiths Smooth and Rick could represent the USA, Germany or wherever he decides to live, in any hard drinking bouts.

Try as we will, we could not drink this city dry; well there was not enough of us for a start.

DAO and Gillybob (pronounced with a G not a J) did a most excellent job in putting this weekend together.

If you see references to “Mark” and “I’m on the train” in any of the attendee’s pages, here is the story:-

A bloke was walking down one of the streets in the Shambles and was having a rather heated argument over his mobile phone with someone called Mark, shouting his head off and effing and blinding (swearing) DAO in his infinite wisdom decides to take the p!ss, pretends to have a mobile phone and shouts twice as loud as this guy “I can’t hear you, I’m on the train” well that was it, we all cracked up laughing, it was soooo funny.
