It All Started When I Came to Kuwait...

by RaVenSymPhoNie - last update: Jan 4, 2005

I currently live and work in Kuwait. This is a great country of beautiful, regal people, and they are so WEALTHY!!!

I like to go to Kuwait City to eat. Fahaheel is a great place to shop for jewelry, DVDs, and anything else worth haggling for! It's also a great place to buy Iraqi Dinar.

I plan to stay here for another year or so, and plan to do a lot of traveling while here.

First Stop....Dubai!

After my first 2 months in Kuwait, I took a few days to check out Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This country is awesome! I wouldn't think twice about moving there if I could find the right job. There are people from every country, and there is beauty everywhere.

I did a lot of shopping in Dubai. The prices for clothing are slightly above what you pay in the US, but food, lodging, and services cost less.

One night we checked out a club called The Planetarium next to Planet Hollywood. We hung out in a bar first and ate sushi, and sauntered over to the Spanish restaurant for a look. We met a group of Arab guys who were sooo cool, and one of their friends from London who was a DJ. Before going to the club together, we talked about hip-hop. Who's your favorite MC of all time? These kats knew their music!

After spending 5 days there, I decided I definitely would have to go back before leaving Kuwait. Dubai is the New York of the Middle East. If you want to go somewhere different and have a great time, check it out.
