Ok, no one tell my mother, but I took my younger brother (he's 19!) to get his first tattoo! And yes, I even paid for it. My mom HATES tattoo's - thinks they are horrible and ugly and every bad word you can think of.... she is so going to kill me for this....

The good thing about it is this - first - he got it on his calf, so he can hide it. And next, the tattoo is our kids initials, so its got a D (Derek), an N (Nadine) and a J (for me!). Its really cool. If you look at my ppp, thats the tattoo, but thats mine. Yes, I got another one, and its the same as my brothers, though mine is pink and his is red. My sister is also going to get the same one, so us 3 kids have our initials tattooed on ourselves. It was my brothers idea, and I was down with it.

Heres mine - and yes, it hurt like a *%$^&@ getting it on top of my foot. No, I didn't cry, and I didn't squirm or scream, but it hurt. Though I'd probably get one again, even knowing how it hurts. It looks really cool.

On Dec. 24th, Bentley and I took off skidooing to the mountains. It was really warm out, though cloudy and snowy, but we were almost completely alone, which was great. He bought me a new pink skidoo helmut for Christmas, kind of. I have been looking at getting a new helmut, so he just finally found a pink one for me! Everyone laughs, because really, I'm not that girly, but on the skidoo its perfect. Everyone coming up to me knows I'm a girl, and goes slower by me and is much nicer!

My favorite part of skidooing? The view. Really, its exceptional. We go camping and quadding a lot in this area (Kakwa Falls) all summer, but its got a very different beauty about it in the winter time. These are the Falls you are looking at, and the water is still flowing, though you can see its almost like an upside down volcano, since the water is going into the hole instead of coming out. Its just really cool. Eventually the cones will build all the way up and you won't see any water flowing at all.

Ah Christmas. Here is my moms dog Jacques trying to sneak into his stocking a little early! Actually, the dogs got right into everyones stockings and opened presents and ate chocolate trying to find theirs! It was funny.

My favorite Disney movie is the Little Mermaid, and I always get Sophia something from the movie, even if it is just using Little Mermaid wrapping paper. Its our thing. I found this giant pillow book of the Little Mermaid one day, and I thought, how perfect! Sophia LOVES books, and can quote almost every Dr. Zeaus book you can find.

My mom. The lady that is going to kill me. I'm so glad we got one good Christmas together first.
