Hail is craddled between mountains

I live about half and hour from Hail on dairy farm near vllage called Al Kuttah. Hail is very conservate and for the sort of person who likes hunting down numerous little roads for something they want it is heaven ! The regular road blocks as you drive to or from Hail from the North are fun ! If the police are in the mood for checking
EVERYONE they love to have a chat and try out thier English ! Far better than our Arabic !! Not big shops one shopping center and thats it but lots and lots of little shops that sell anything you want !

View of Park

We drove up the side of a mountain just outside Hail and above a park.The road kept going off and just ending half finished! Finally found our way up to the top amazing view of park and Hail!

Pros and Cons

Pros:AMAZING SCENERY AROUND HAIL
Cons:Mattawa (moral police) on a power trip !
In a nutshell:Intresting but tough on us women as having to cover face in souq can lead to regular inhales of black face cloth! I cant breath and look dignified unlike the Arab women who can carry it off with style! I will master it one day !

Thanks for this info. How long have you been in Ha'il. God willing I will be going there soon. So have the police said anything to you. I heard that Westerns didn't have to cover their head!?? Thanks again

Hi Moira! Admire you for living on a Saudi Farm. I have never been to Saudi, but Ash is currently in Jeddah and life for women seems to be very restricted... Best wishes, Eve & Ash
