I went to Sydney in the summer of 2001 to take a Teaching Methodology course (I'm a teacher of English). I lived there a month in Bronte, just 3 blocks from its beach.
I utterly fell in love with this city! There is nothing missing here: great weather, great people, great sites. And... it has a beach! I usually say that the only thing Buenos Aires lacks is a beach! So... Sydney has it all!
I still remember that time as the happiest in my life due to the fact that I was 24 hs. a day in contact with "English stuff" (to me, as a teacher of the language, that's heaven...) and also because I got to meet people from all over the world.
Let alone getting to see those beautiful sites!
This is beautiful Rhonda, my host mother, and Frank.
Rhonda was the sweetest person ever! I told her that she had been like a grandma to me, and I still believe so. She used to cook us so many things for dinner! By the way, an excellent cook!
Frank was a French guy who was also staying at Rhonda's. I still remember the way he used to pronouce Bondi Junction, stressing the last syllable of the last word.
He was really nice and funny.
This is the main avenue in downtown Sydney. Looks like NY, doesn't it?
As you can see I'm wearing the Argentine football t-shirt. I'm not a football person at all, but I always take this shirt when I travel aborad.

G'Day Sabrina. Gr8 intro & gr8 tips on my home city. Not many o/s visitors go to Featherdale so I'm pleased yu mentioned it. Should have kept walking south to Coogee, my fave beach, but come back .I'll show you the nthn beaches - BEST!
