"Fort Pulaski Virtual Tour" Fort Pulaski National Monument by SachaGriffin

Fort Pulaski

Fort Pulaski is 15 minutes from downtown Savannah on the way to Tybee Island.
This Fort was captured by the Union in April of 1862 using the new technology of rifled canons. Rifled canons were far more accurate, devastating, and had a much longer range than standard canons.

Fort Pulaskis moat and draw bridge are visible here. Also of interest in this photo is the half-mast flag.
This was in honor of Ronald Regan.
