Auckland, New Zealand Well I'm no expert on the place - having only spend 5 nights there, but got to see a bit around town! So here's a few of my tips!!!!!!! |
Only three hours from home :) Auckland is a great place to head off to for a bit of an escape! All you could want in a city - good food, shopping, nightlife & sightseeing, but best of all - you can do most of it on foot!!!!! Even visits to groovy suburbs like Ponsonby & Parnell are an easy stroll away...... |
Choose the time of your visit carefully! You might want to consider two things when planning a trip to Auckland......
Christmas - things tend to be VERY quiet in Auckland at Christmas - I know - that's when I visited!!! Still enough to keep occupied, but alas many business - clubs, restuarants, shops, etc shut down for the break.... Which was a shame - but will make me even more eager to head back - which I'd do in a flash!
And the other thing - winter!!!!! Unless you are used to the cold of course...... |
