hawaii is truly a magical place, and a great way to wind up a whirlwind round the world adventure.
the island of oahu, while being quite tourist orientated, also did offer some quiet moments once outside the bustle of waikiki. do be sure to hire a car or catch a bus and explore other parts of oahu that many tourists simply do not get to see.
one memory that will always linger from oahu is the smell of flowers. everywhere i went, i could just smell beautiful flowers, and the colors as well are spectacular! sunsets like the one above are also that extra bit special in hawaii!
with stunning nature, beautiful beaches and nice warm weather, i can see why hawaii has become the tourist mecca is it today. while that doesn't appeal to us all, it is still worth a visit to this island gem!
