greenwich is the heart of old england, a place where the british navy would often set sail from to go to battle. the place where zero degrees longtitude begins!
famous not only for its observatory and scientificness, but also for the beautiful township, the cutty sark, and the navy college.
greenwich is far enough from london to be it's own identity, yet close enough for any tourist to spend an afternoon far from the 'madding crowds' of london and to spend a quiet afternoon in this UNESCO world heritage site!
do go to greenwich when in london, half a day will do you! it's definitely worth a visit! |
