Getting TO/AROUND: there are numerous waterways around sydney. the harbor is huge, then you have the paramatta river snaking all the way inland. a great way to get to cool places like manly, palm beach and paramatta is by ferry. so much cheaper and stress free then driving in the mad sydney traffic! you can pick up a $15 day pass that takes you around 2 zones all day. or a one ride ticket costs $4. either way, its just so beautiful to cruise on a ferry, what a great way to get into work every day!

Getting TO/AROUND: the monorail is a train that has a single track above the ground, which goes through buildings, over streets etc. it's very cool to sit in it, it feels like your gliding on air. it does a loop, so for a single ride of $4 you can go around as many times as you like. we did the loop once just to check it out and take in the views.
it stops at major points like darling harbor, paddy's markets, pitt street and galeries victoria.
