sydney, ahhh what to say! sydney is such an awesome city, with the most beautiful of natural harbors, impressive buildings & architecture and heaps of things to see and do!
my friend begged me to come along for a long weekend of fun, and after a quick check of onlight flights, i was out the next weekend!
sydney was impressive, more then i imagined it so. the last two times i went i was 10 & 12 years old, so after 12 years of not being here, the changes i saw since the olympics were phenomenal. sydney continues to grow and grow, and i just have to say, to me, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
i happened to also be here on the gay & lesbian mardi gras weekend! that was a fun parade where the gay people of sydney get together and host a parade and party. sydney was buzzing all weekend, and to see the tolerance and happiness of the people performing, and in the crowd, was amazing. behind san francisco, sydney has the biggest gay population in the world. with a big carnivale party like atmosphere, i couldn't have picked a better weekend to have gone! |
