sultry santiago....

by willy_wonka - last update: Jun 17, 2009

para mi bonita amiga "trekki" :-))

entry to cerro santa lucia
ahhhh santiago. what is it about this city that charmed me so? part of me thinks it was because i came here after a horrible break up. maybe the freedom of being on my own again, in a new and unique city did it for me. perhaps i could of gone to the crappiest city on the planet and still been all 'ahhhhh'. no, i dont think so. this city has something special about it. definitely.

is it the people, some of the friendliest bunch i have met? could it be the beautiful colonial buildings, mixed with the modern, giving this city an interesting aspect? oh hang on, maybe its those awesome majestic mountains known as the andes. the andes dammit! stuff of dreams, and im here! maybe it was simply the fact that i was here with such a loving bunch of people. some old friends, some new, but together, we rocked santiago, and south america!

whatever it was, this page was a joy to make. every photo i looked through, bought a memory, a smile back to my face. seeing the beauty of such parks as cerro santa lucia and cristobal brings happy memories of lazing on the grass, enjoying the sunshine. but to be honest... i think its those andes... the massive peaks we flew over to get into this city. the awe inspiring peaks, capped in snow, so close to such a large city. i think all of this contributed to my new found love for the country that is chile, and its capital, santiago.

What a wonderful page, and a wonderful tribute to a city you have clearly fallen for in a big way! You make me want to pack my bags and go - now!!

At last! (me getting here that is) . Great take on SdeC, a much under-rated city IMO...and definitely a contender for one of the best museums anywhere. xMrsL

Lol, I am proud of you that you manage to finish this :-) And flattered for your second title :-) But... devote it to MrsL, because she loves Santiago, while I never really had a specific binding to it. For me it is just the hub.

I was questioning you Sultry Santiago Title. Maybe I was wrong. I guess this is the best way to spice up chile, haha.
