lazy days vt meeting point! ko lanta is a quiet peaceful island about 3 hours from phuket town. the ferry ride passes many beautiful seascapes before arriving at saladan port.
i had never heard of lanta, until i got talking to VT'er jenniferchin. she has been a few times in the past, and suggested that maybe we could meet there. she was going to thailand anyway, and i had a free flight with singapore airlines, so i thought, why not join her in lanta and get the chance to meet one of my best vt friends!
along with jen came other vt'ers kaynisa & dragonmtl, and their friend sharon. phil_uk_net also came along from hat yai, with his partner issa.
we had a great time eating foods, lazing on the beach, having general chit-chat on what is truly an island paradise! if you want to escape the rat race of patong and phuket towns, then this is the place for you! |

Hi, I had kind of the same experience on Ko Samui with my daughter, age 4 at that time. A local kid kept talking to her in Thai and after listening for a while she just said "Whatever you say" and took off down the beach with him.... that was hilarious!!! | easterntrekker Tue Sep 2, 2008 00:58 UTC
