| New York at artistic night |
New York is a city I have always wanted to visit.
Hubby and I went for a week in mid winter, after having spent Christmas with family in Hickory, North Carolina.
To say that New York was a culture shock is an understatement! We arrived on New Year's Eve and it was madness... transport was down, there were millions of people and police around, and here were we, two South Africans with 2 huge red suitcases, trying to find our way through the throngs to our hotel, weary, hungry and cold.
This photo is an artistic moving shot my hubby took whilst we were on the open top bus at night, in the freezing cold.. we love this shot!
Step inside and see what our week in new York meant to us! :)
Please note: I am still adding tips to this page. Title quote is from Bridget Jones.... the edge of reason |

ViajesdelMundo Thu Jul 2, 2009 15:02 UTC If your card was already on a list when you phoned, then the prob most likely was prior; I had same trouble when in Europe Apr/May and had to hv a new card delvrd to DIJON | jumpingnorman Thu Jul 2, 2009 14:49 UTC Credit card cloning is scary! Just had vacation in NY (twins watched Little Mermaid but only $70) and still a great place to visit - but you are right - don't arrive on NY's! Excellent tips! Norman :) | dejavu2gb Sun Mar 29, 2009 14:05 UTC Hi Jen... Nice page on NYC... seems you guys had a great time.... Have to say, you were very brave of you guys to arrive in NYC on New Years Eve... !! :) | toonsarah Tue Nov 11, 2008 13:33 UTC Feeling homesick for NYC (nearly 2 months after our visit) so loved seing it all again thru your eyes. Shame you couldn't see inside St Pauls (really moving) and got so cold - try spring/fall next time as summer is scorching. PS I love riding the subway! |
