| Kew Gardens ~ 16 April 2006 |
We have been to Kew Gardens a couple of times, at different times of the year. We have seen a lot and will go back and bring a picnic next time!
There are 300 acres to see after all!
The gardens are a mix of order and wildness it seems to me. They have formal landscaped sections, green houses and less cultivated areas. |

They are world-reknown for various scientific breakthroughs. I will be writing more about these soon! |
Please note: as Kew Gardens is in Greater London, some of its tips and information may relate to my London page too. If you have rated my London page already with a similar tip, please do not rate this one. Thanks! | | | Kew Gardens ~ 16 April 2006 |

Shame it's no longer "In for a penny" ;) | TheWanderingCamel Sat Jan 13, 2007 11:57 UTC I used to live just outside the main gates of Kew - it cost 1p to go in, I used to walk through every day on my way home from the station. I love that place! leyle | Pawtuxet Fri Jan 12, 2007 13:08 UTC Thanks for the helpful tip re: the blue medallions. So...Queen Charlotte was fortunate to die in this place surrounded by flowers..not a bad way to go. BTW...my daughter shares your passion with paper. |
