Climbing the Dome sounds like hard work. I've never been to Rome nor to the Vatican yet. With such long lines I hope they have plenty of toilets and also that they have lockers for daypacks. Great page on how to do it with a family!
I just love the Vatican... St. Peter's is absolutely amazing and one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen. I felt priviledged to attend Sunday Mass at St. Peter's on my last trip to Rome.
Jen this needs to be top 5 again, what happened? :-( Very odd. I hope I have helped today :-)
Your little niece picked a fantastic place to learn to walk!
Hi,a return visit - to try again to find your Sistine chapel photos!(of course u werent of those amazing people who still manage to get sneaky ones in no matter how manys signs& security guards&risk to ruining amazing art!)Thx4 yr St Pauls climb picsx
A very enjoyable tour with great detail and personal insights.
Excellent stuff Jen, especially that dome! Will check out your Rome pages later
Excellent tips as always Jen - thorough, informative and with a personal touch. Some beautful photos too, especially inside the Basilica. We did that climb to the top with my elderly mother-in-law ;0
Must have been wonderful for you after studying this magical place for so long and then seeing it. I visited w/ 2 of my kids yrs. ago and we stood w/ mouth open about half the time. How to absorb so much art and history??
I still don't understand why the name of a river or city isn't the same in any language, I mean shouldn't the name be whatever it is in the native country???? Nice page!
