"Stunning Richmond" a Richmond Travel Page by Jenniflower

This is a part of London we love. Richmond is a gorgeous town with so much going for it, beautiful homes, lovely river views, lots of night life and shopping venues etc. We lived here for a year prior to moving to Wimbledon, in East Sheen - town next to Richmond, in the Richmond-upon-Thames Borough.

Richmond is a really picturesque part of the Thames River. Not all of the river bank is pretty in my opinion, but this section is absolutely gorgeous. There are always rowers and barges etc. on the river during summer, the mood is festive and everyone sits and has a beer on the banks of the river. It really is a special kind of place.

One huge plus of staying near Richmond is the glorious Richmond Park with it's incredible beauty. It is a large park with some hidden gems, like the Isabella Plantation and two large families of deer, which I have written about in my tips.

Whether it is summer, winter, or the seasons imbetween, this park offers to the visitor, an escape from city life.
