I see you've been to one of my favorite little English towns. We stayed at the Mermaid--it's so cute inside! Bodiam Castle was closed when we got there, but we got a nice view from the outside.
I'll come back because Rye fascinates me. Henry James wrote some of his best stuff there (mostly set in Italy) and the guy who wrote the Mapp & Lucia books lived there. E.F.Benson?
