This town has my favourite castle of all time ~ Warwick Castle!
My husband and I are both castle-fundhis! We have, since living in the UK, visited loads of castle throughout the UK. Warwick is right there at the top of them, our favourite complete castle. I say 'complete', as many castle today are in ruins. Our favourite ruins are a tie between Bodiam Castle in England, and Conwy Castle in Wales.
We have been to the grand Warwick Castle in the middle of winter, when they have an ice rink on the middle lawn.. plus at festival time during summer, with the magnificent knights jousting one-another... and at a much quieter time, when it was spring, there was hardly anyone around... and we actually had a dose in the garden...

I used to take groups to Birmingham every summer (because Birmingham and Frankfurt are partner cities, and there used to be money in the budget for group visits), and one of our favourite excursions was always to Warwick Castle. | sourbugger Fri Feb 20, 2009 23:50 UTC
