This is the view, looking east, from my friend's balcony. He has a condo in Zona Rosa, which is a relatively safe and fun part of Bogota to hang out around.

While in Bogota, we decided to take in a bull fight. The bull fight was something completely different than anything I had ever experienced. Not only did I not realize that they killed the bulls, but I also had no idea of what a social event it is. Everyone was dressed in nice clothes, and it appeared to be a sport enjoyed primarily by the upper class of the city. It was a little gut wrenching, but at the same time entertaining and unique.

This picture was taken outside of the bull fighting ring. Behind us, a few hundred protestors are demonstrating against the bullfight. Directly behind us is a row of police, who are keeping the protest away.
