Restaurant Name: The Ranchers Grill

Neat decor. Many cool old west memorabilia items to look at. Brand plaques on the wall when you walk in (turn around). They had a TV. You can taste the local-made wine.
I was not pleased with our trip there because my husband and I ordered the same doneness of steak, but mine came out cooked to a coal consistancy. His tasted good, but we can grill and season a piece just as well, at home. Our rolls ended up being hotdog buns, that was pretty much the last straw. The portions were good, but still not quite worth our limited budget.
Maybe we went on a bad evening, you may want to try it for yourself if you're dying for steak or some of the other wonderful meat and vegetable farm choices.

We haven't been here, but a couple people have told us to check it out. They aren't open for lunch, I think they open at 1 or 2pm, that's why we haven't made it there yet.

Directions: You want to take 549 (south of the interstate), to the east, turn on to Lewis Flats road, drive a bit, the deli will be on the right. Kinda tucked away.

Restaurant Name: Old standbys, mexican/american, other

Standby's: Denny's, Dairy Queen, Dominos, KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Sonic, Subway, Taco Bell.
Local: Tacos Mirasol, La Fonda, Si Senor, El Mirador.
Others(not sure if all are operational): Palma's Italian Grill, USA Petroleum, Starlight Village Resort Motel, Smokey's BBQ, Primo's, Pasque's Italian, Jumbo Chinese, Joe Perk, Irma's, Grand Motor Inn Resturant and Cocktail Lounge, El Camino Real, Coffee Pot, China, Canos, The Campos, Caliche's, Cactus Cafe, Blake's Lota Burger, Bellshore.
Don't go to Burgertime if you just want fast food, unless you want zucchini as a side item choice (not worth the $).

Favorite Dish: Denny's always gives you a lot of food for the $.

Si Senor(Pine)- great service, 2 of us ate PLENTY of food for $16 - husband had a combination plate(chili, tamale, enchilada, beans and rice). I had a new york strip plate (enchiladas, beans, rice, steak). 2 iced teas. With the check we also got 2 sopapillas and honey.
Caliche's(Florida)-frozen custard. Husband had a plain chocolate caliche-it was similar to a Wendy's frosty. I had a banana split (bananas, pineapple, strawberry, fudge, pecans, cherries)- it was very good, but I would've liked more fudge! Next time, I think i'll get a waffle cone with chocolate/crunchy coconut. They have 4 sandwiches, many hotdogs and more frozen custard desserts.
