Getting TO/AROUND: Hiring a motorbike is probably one of the best ways in which you can view Ayutthaya. You can buy a map at any temple, visit them for as long as you want, and dont have to worry about getting a tuk tuk. You can stop and start when you want. If one temple looks boring, move onto the next.

In Ayutthaya, to hire a motorbike its around 200-300 baht, which is steep but when you put it into european money, its not that much for transport. The driver also needs to wear a helmet, as the law in inforced around Ayutthaya. You can normally rent a motorbike with your passport as a sort of insurance to make sure you bring it back.

TIP: Be careful when riding motorbikes as many Farang (foreigners) are killed in accidents involving reckless driving every year.

Getting TO/AROUND: Everywhere i go in thailand or asia i find to my astonishment a different type of tuk tuk, all built with a similar design underneath, ie motorbike thing, similar drivers but different shells... this one reminds me of a tortoise, all covered up..

it was rather nice in the hot sun to be so sheltered :D
