The Cameron Highlands is one of malaysia's best hill stations which is renowned for its cool atmosphere and at an altitude of 1300-1830m is off the road from kuala lumpur to butterworth.

The place was founded by William Cameron in the late 19th century and was soon followed by chinese tea people and colonialists wanting to escape the heat.

It is often a good idea to take a jumper with you when you visit as although the days are reasnably warm the nights can drop to around 10 degrees.
