HO CHI MINH CITY

I just like this photo for some reason so I thought I'd post it.I didn't notice at the time I took it that the guy in the foreground has got the same pose as the statue in back.
There are some market shots from Ho Chi Minh City on the things to do page and the Travalogues are some pictures from a van trip from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon along the coastal highway

The Grand Saigon Hotel

This is the 12th floor restraunt atop the grand Hotel.The service is good and the view of the city is nice . we had dinner up here one night, there was a nice breeze and with the city lights and sounds below it was very romantic.There were some bats flying around that killed the mood a bit but it was funny watching the waiters and waitresses pretending not to see them.If you caught their eye when their manager wasn't looking you could make them laugh about it and then they'd be all serious again.

Nha Trang

This is the view from our room at the Yassaka Saigon Hotel facing north.Really nice hotel and cheap by western standards.The pool was nice and the beach was clean

Hey Chris, great coverage of the market. I recall entering a similar market in BKK on a hot day, and just the smell alone had me close to loosing my cookies. (of course it may have had to do with the beer I consumed the night before)
