I've lived in Singapore for five years, and the city has really taken to my heart. I still consider it home, and try to visit whenever I can.
My most recent trip to this wonderful city was last summer (July, 2005), and I'll be back this summer, popping in for a weekend on the town September 1-3. On these pages you'll find my tips on Singapore, which I will try to update as frequently as possible, or whenever something pops into my head! |
| The simple delights of the hawker stalls.. |
| | The food city! If there's one thing I've learned in five years living in Singapore it's that Singaporeans love to eat! I guess you could almost call it part of their culture. And who can blame them? The huge mix of different cultures, ethnic backgrounds have made Singapore a culinary haven!
Whether it's traditional Singaporean food (Chicken Rice) you're after, Asian delights, Seafood or Western Cuisine, it's all there, accomodating every budget from a few dollars to upscale dining.
I'll add as many tips as possible on dining out in Singapore, as it's one of the country's strongest selling points. In Singapore, you don't cook yourself, as you can enjoy a different dish each day; why would you want to miss out? |

tourist01 Wed Aug 26, 2009 07:19 UTC Beware of SLR PRO PTE LTD on the 1st floor of Sim Lim Square. If you ask for prices and information than refuse to buy their products, they get very aggressive and abusive. They also lie about prices and the products they sell. | jackliveshere Fri Dec 7, 2007 15:05 UTC Great tips on your page. Thanks. About time for a beer... | xuessium Fri Aug 4, 2006 17:07 UTC I thought I detected a whiff of Singapore somewhere....and that 5 years explain it. | imstress Fri Aug 4, 2006 16:40 UTC thanks for your compliments on Changi Airport.
