Mountains and ghost towns in Wrangell St Elias NP

Wrangell St. Elias is an amazing place by any standard. several mountain ranges and hundreds of glaicers everywhere you look. The two tiny ghost towns of Mccarthy and Kennecott are worhty of several days exploration. The local community of McCarthy is a real step back in time. The locals are real friendly and love visitors. This is the real Alaska of dreams

I didn't expect to see ghost towns here. Interesting info and I think over getting there now.

Any shots of your being actually on the ground? This is one park that will take years for VTers to reach.
